Create An Indoor Herb Garden
You'll need:
-Various herb seeds
-Long flower pot, hang out the window kind
-Potting soil, Ph of 6 or 7
-Patience
This is so easy to do and can be done in pretty much any kind of weather
since your plants will stay indoors. Some favorite herbs to try are Basil,
Oregano, Thyme, Parsley, and Chives. You can also make a "sweet" herb
garden with herbs like Mint, Lavender and Chamomile.
Plant seeds about 4-5 inches apart in the long flower pot, following the
directions on each seed packet for planting depth. You may want to plant
2-3 of each seed in the same area to ensure at least one will grow. You
can also plant them individually in their own separate container.
Remember to water when the soil looks dry and keep the container close to
a window so it will get enough sun. Most seeds will sprout in 8-10 days. A
kitchen window sill is the perfect place. If you grow your herbs indoor
during the cold months and they get too big, just transplant them outdoors
when Spring comes.
